Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu reduces LASU school fees
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu reduces LASU school fees.
On December 10, 2020, the LASU management had jacked up its school fees by more than 120 per cent starting with incoming 100 Level students.
The school said that before they graduate from the college, the old students would continue to pay the original N25,000 while new students would pay the new N67,048.50 increase per session.
During the administration of Babatunde Fashola in 2014, LASU increased school fees by over 500 percent and a series of demonstrations and convictions made the former governor return to the status quo.
But on his Twitter handle on Friday, the Special Advisor to the Governor on Education, Tokunbo Wahab, said the state government had reduced school fees.
“Flash: Lagos State government reduces tuition fee for students of Lagos State University,” he tweeted.
But he did not disclose the new school fees. Calls made to his phones were not picked.
