A sad report emanating from Nigeria indicates that dozens of people have lost their lives in a stampede at Polo Club in Port Harcourt during a church programme.

According to Instablog9ja, the stampede happened early hours of Saturday when a crowd of people forced their way into Polo Club in Port Harcourt where a church called, Kings Assembly was hosting an annual “Shop for the free programme”.

The disaster occurred after members of the public tried to force their way through the gate as early as 6:30 am which resulted in the stampede that caused the deaths.

Video shows some of the victims of the stampede on the floor as doctors and nurses at the Military Hospital, Port Harcourt, were trying their best to attend to them and save as many people as possible.
