A young man accused of stealing cables was being served a plate of noodles after he was being punished in the Agorogbene community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The suspect identified as Preye Ayase and his accomplice, Ringo Tareladei were reportedly caught red-handed on Wednesday 20th April stealing electric cables connecting Ogobiri and Agorogbene communities in Sagbama.
Meanwhile, the President of the Creek Youths Agenda (CYA), Ouseibai Seperegha Godsgift has rebuked the actions of these hoodlums for vandalizing the electric cables connecting the two communities.
A statement released by Mr. Ebis Okpeke, the group’s Chief Press Secretary, indicated that the group’s President expressed his disappointment over the unfortunate incident and urged youths in the region to refrain from such acts immediately, as they will only spell doom for them while severely hurting their progress.
In other news, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture has stated that the government of Ghana has not ignored the Creative sector.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Mark Okraku Mantey stated that the government of Ghana is still committed to elevating the creative sector with its new plans to be initiated.
According to him, the government is put in place some structures and interventions to help accommodate the growth of the Creative sector.
We want to re-enforce the strength of the creative industry. The market must be ready. I want to re-assure you that our positions have not changed. “President Akufo-Addo is still committed to developing the creative industry big time,” he said.
