Improving mental wellbeing, and enabling social equity are two central pillars of the Z Zurich Foundation, and these aren’t causes we picked at random. We believe that the key to creating a better future is connection – fostering relationships between those in the know and those most in need, and tackling society’s challenges from the ground up. This is why we are committed to supporting impactful leaders to participate in the annual One Young World Summit, the world’s most international community of young leaders.

Important Information About The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship

One Young World is a UK-based foundation that gathers together the most promising young leaders from around the world, entrusting them to make enduring connections to create positive change. One Young World stages an annual Summit where the most promising young talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other organizations are joined by world leaders serving as the One Young World Counsellors. The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship will allow 16 young leaders working on mental well-being projects, or projects promoting social equity through education, employability or entrepreneurship, to partake in the One Young World Summit 2023, which will be held in Belfast, United Kingdom. It starts from 2 October till 5 October 2023.

One Young World was founded in 2009 by David Jones and Kate Robertson. It is a UK-based charity that works to unite young leaders worldwide, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change in the world. They organize an annual summit where the brightest young talent takes part to work for the betterment. For young leaders, the OYW summit is the year’s landmark event. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals to come together to confront humanity’s biggest challenges. The OYW Summit is the ultimate place to be inspired, share learnings, and connect. Therefore, the One Young World summit is an opportunity to find innovative solutions to tackle climate change and meet the Paris Agreement. For securing the future of the planet and the next generation investing in education and skills is key to empower youth, nations, and society to face the incoming challenges.

General Benefits of Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship

• Access to the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast.
• Access to additional scholarship programming organised by Z Zurich Foundation. This programming is likely to include pre and post One Young World Summit including calls and meetings with the wider Zurich Insurance Group delegation, as well as the chance to pitch for funding that can help increase your impact.
• Hotel accommodation in Belfast between 1 and 6 (inclusive) October.
• Return air travel.
• Catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Ground transportation between Summit venues in Belfast.
