Impact of the ICGEB Arturo Falaschi Fellowships Programmes
The Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Fellowship Programmes offer high-profile, multidisciplinary training and cover a range of topics in genetic engineering and biotechnology.
The Ph.D. Fellowship provides graduate students with all the necessary means to understand a scientific investigation in the field of Life Sciences and develop independent thought and critical view, personal responsibility, and decision-making skills.
Postdoctoral fellows are trained for an average of two years, during which they actively participate in the research projects of the ICGEB laboratories for promising young scientists, national of ICGEB Member States.
ICGEB is committed to attaining and promoting gender equality in all its activities, and this is exemplified in the Fellowship Programme.
SMART Fellowships are awarded, to promote the South-South mobility of researchers.
Eligibility Requirement for ICGEB Arturo Falaschi Fellowship
Applicants must be nationals of an ICGEB Member State. Nationals of India and South Africa, ICGEB Host Countries, are not eligible to apply for ICGEB Fellowships in their home country.
Degree requirements: applicants for ICGEB Trieste should hold a BSc (Honours) degree; applicants for ICGEB Cape Town and New Delhi should hold an MSc degree.
Candidates must have a good working knowledge of the English language, supported by a proficiency certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate, or equivalent). Not required when scholastic education has been undertaken in English.
Candidates for Trieste, Italy, must be below the age of 32 years at the time of application. There is no age limit for applications for ICGEB New Delhi and Cape Town.
